If you are looking for "teishoku" (lunch set menu) in the area, this is the place. I'm glad this sort of place still exists in the neighborhood, where in recent years has seen an encroachment of gentrification and overpriced food associated with neighboring Daikanyama and Nakameguro. This restaurant uses the best ingredients and skillfully prepares their food, but done in a down-to-earth, unpretentious manner and at a very reasonable price. In fact, you'd feel like you're eating in a dining room of somebody's house. They usually have about five menus priced around 1000 yen. I think my favorite is the salmon and ikura bowl with tonjiru (pork miso soup).

Good quality Japanese home style cooking. Reasonable pricing. Large serves. Well balanced food in a relaxed environment.

Came during the lunch rush but the katsudon, while small, was delicious and worth the wait.
